Job Description:
Job Summary:
This role will provide support across the Default organization (Collections, Loss Mitigation, Recovery) with a primary focus on providing operational analytics and reporting relative to key performance indicators. This candidate will work very closely with the mortgage default business, management, compensation, and manage analysts to ensure the appropriate reports are developed and deployed as needed. In addition, this candidate will play a key role in helping to manage strategic initiatives and identify process efficiencies as it relates to business processes and information streams.

Job Responsibilities:
Design, write and maintain data requests and/or queries to support the business. Interface with LOB and MIS resources to ensure that reports are accurate and deployed in a timely manner.
Design, develop, and document reporting requirements as defined by the business.
Create and maintain consistency in reporting across the organization where possible.
Work closely with the MIS team to investigate issues and resolve any reporting discrepancies.
Analyze a wide range of reports and presentations used across the organization for accuracy and consistency.
Identify data process improvements and leverage technology to automate and streamline existing processes.
Assist in the development of ad-hoc reports or presentations as needed by senior management.
Develop trending and forecasting models to track and validate various key performance measurements by specific business segment.
Manage a team of approximately 20 business analysts/data analysts.
Additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • BS Degree in MIS, Risk Management, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics.
  • Advanced analytical, technical and quantitative skills needed.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills, presentation skills, problem solving skills and decision making abilities.
  • 3-5 years experience in financial services, mortgage banking is preferred.
  • Prior Mortgage Default experience is highly desirable.
  • An understanding of development/request cycle needed, from analysis of specifications to formulating a project plan to deliver timely, efficient processes/results.
  • Understanding of SQL, SAS Toad, and Oracle environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency in IT literacy, e.g. views, reporting packages, advanced Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals, departments and organizations.
  • In addition the ability to manage shifting priorities required.
